Nonprofit helps people better understand their work with custom website design and updated visual brand assets

The Mind Trust hired TBH Creative to refresh their brand and develop a new website that would better represent and fully showcase the breadth and depth of the nonprofit’s important work to supporting the Indianapolis education community. 

Goals—

  • Refine the logo, refresh the color palette, expand supporting visual assets, and update the brand style guide
  • Rework the site architecture around top users’ navigation needs, and make sure every page has a “home” in the user journey
  • Evaluate and expand content to strengthen messaging around the group’s mission, vision, and core values
  • Create a new site with a flexible modern design featuring page templates that accommodate more storytelling and authentic photography

Identity and brand refresh

TBH Creative created a new identity and set of brand assets that both respected The Mind Trust history while reflecting who they’d become and where they are headed, created in a manner and design footprint more representative of their base. Deliverables included:

  • Refresh core mark design to be more contemporary, less casual
  • Modernize and streamline overall brand system look and feel
  • Update typographical stylings
  • Recast entire color palette to be fresher, less muted, while meeting critical WCAG 2.0 & ADA accessibility standards and thresholds

Web accessibility and web core vitals

The Mind Trust website was designed and developed with web accessibility and core web vital considerations in mind. 

  • Selected color palette for sufficient contrast. 
  • Built with adherence to WCAG standards.
  • Built and designed to keep page speed and user interaction measurements scores high.
